BII’s CEO takes the interview with over ten media
On 19 October 2012, the Zhongguancun Industry Union Theme Publicity News Conference was held Zhongguancun Administrative Committee in Beijing. The leaders from the Industry Office and Publicity Office of the Committee attended the conference and made their speeches.
The Zhongguancun Industry Union, where BII serves as the Chairman, attended the conference with other 70 or more industry unions which were selected by Zhongguancun. Liu Dong, the Chairman of Zhongguancun Industry Union and BII’s CEO, attended the conference and took an exclusive interview with over ten media such as Xinhua New Agency, Beijing Times, and Information Industry Daily.
According to Mr Liu, China’s largest Next Generation Internet industrial cluster, which is mainly composed of the enterprises in Zhongguancun, has been formed under the great support of the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee, accounting for one third of the national industrial scale. Buttressed by the Zhongguancun Open Lab, BII has established the largest IPv6 Next Generation Internet certification and testing center in the world, taking up 40% of global testing business; therefore, it has made substantial contribution to the promotion of Zhongguancun Next Generation Internet industry. Additionally, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council placed strategic emphasis on the development of Next Generation Internet during the 12th “Five-Year Plan” Period (2011-2015), which created unprecedented opportunities for the development of Zhongguancun Next Generation Internet industry. Under the leadership of the Administrative Committee, the Zhongguancun Industry Union has organized major application demonstrations and promoted the development of the industry, striving to form an industrial cluster that plays a dominant role in technology across the world in Zhongguancun.
