According to Mr. Liu, a complete solution about IEEE1888 had been formed by September 2012, which included terminal devices, multi-protocol gateway devices, databases, smart platforms of energy conservation analysis and processing, and virtualized interface. Taking advantage of IEEE1888 to achieve standard management and control, energy consumption monitoring, management and warning on the energy consumption devices in architectural and industrial ones can create practical profit of energy consumption.

Additionally, at the 3rd Smart Energy Summit on the same day, Liu Hang, the Associate Director of Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone, spoke highly of the development and achievements of IEEE1888 and the successful model the IEEE1888 standard had established in smart buildings, parks and oilfields. Meanwhile, he underlined that Zhongguancun would list IEEE1888 as a project that would be significantly supported and developed for a long time, expand industrial chains and promote the undertakings of smart energy. 

It is said that the Zhongguancun Top 10 Series Selection is held for the fourth time this year and that it has become one of brand activities for public interest in Zhongguancun. The selection this year was approved by the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park and was sponsored by Brand China Industry Union. Since 15 August 2012, the four-month selection consisted of the project collection, the preliminary assessment by experts, the network publicity and the re-assessment by experts. Combining creativity, leadership and demonstration, the selection integrated expert assessment with public participation and followed the principle of “openness, fairness and impartiality”, based on which the selection lists were made. It is safe to say that the lists fully and truly showed the new accomplishments of Zhongguancun Demonstration Zone in 2012.
